Great Company!

Time flies so fast and another year had passed. I suddenly realized that I'm getting older because my friend Nicole, may I correct myself, my twin sister Nicole celebrated her 24th birthday! Haha! Nicole is like a twin sister to me. We've been friends for 15 years and we've been through almost everything. Together with her, we have five other friends who share our lives with. We celebrate birthdays and very important events together. We see to it that every moment shouldn't be missed.

This month, Nicole decided to have a dinner date with us together with her boyfriend. Note that this will be our first time to meet him. I guess it's a milestone since this will be the first time that Nicole had been open in meeting her boyfriend. She has never introduced anyone to us! Definitely a first! Haha We had dinner at Italianni's, went to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and enjoyed the night away!

 Dinner is served! Finally! haha

The food in Italianni's is great. You should try it sometime too.

Coffee anyone?! at CBTL...

We had coffee after dinner. We shared more stories about each other and had great laughs about them. As they say, "Good communication is just as stimulating as black cofee, and just as hard to sleep after."

It's really great to catch up with old friends. Keeps you grounded, don't ya think? #doodlemonster

What I've got in Divisoria!

Two weeks ago I went to Divisoria to accompany my mother buy some school stuffs. I didn't plan to have anything for myself but i found some interesting pieces that made me buy them. I'm not really into brands so I don't really care at all about where to purchase clothes, shoes or accessories.

Here are some of what I've got:
Royal blue sheer top: Folded and Hung

Necklace for only 120 Php

Bangles for 80 Php

Sheer Top: Folded and Hung; Pants: from Divisoria for only 180 Php.
(sorry for the picture's low quality)

I haven't got some pictures of other items I've bought but I will surely post it in the future.

Who says you can't dress up with cheap items?! It's not important how expensive or cheap your clothes are. It's about how you wear them and how you are comfortable with them. Dressing up is the best form of self-expression and communication. We all have the liberty to choose what to wear. We only differ in ways we interpret it but we unite in communicating through it.

All in all, I really enjoyed shopping at Divisoria. They almost have everything you needed and wanted. Since it's nearly Christmas, you can also buy some gift items for your loved ones. You want it?! They have it!

Happy shopping! :)

Exercise!

Exercise is really important nowadays. It gives you a sense of physical fitness. But anyone new to it can really get tired easily and feel very exhausted at the beginning. The body finds it hard to adjust to the physical movement that it requires. And sometimes, the mind isn't ready yet for all the changes like having to do a day after day workouts.

But I found a new exercise that would really help me overcome my "laziness". Yes, I call it laziness because I'm too tired to get up in the morning to jog or even do a little exercise. I only exercise when I feel much heavier than my usual weight. I usually do 20 sit-ups, 20 crunches and 20 push-ups. Haha! See how I am so sluggish. I can increase it to 30 sometimes but I'm too tired to do it often.

We discovered a new place in Quezon City. From East Avenue, Manong Taxi Driver led us there because we asked him to take us to a nearby badminton court. It's somewhere in Commonwealth. It's called Don Antonio Badminton Court. It's a big place where there are 8 courts (as far as I can remember) that can entertain 4 players in a court.

Here it is! BADMINTON!!!

It's been a long time since I last played badminton so I'm kinda hesitant to move.

Enjoying ourselves while playing

After game freshness. Haha! Enjoyed ourselves a lot.

I TOTALLY fell in love with it because I'm not alone working out my whole body but I'm with my friends whom I do it with. I enjoyed every moment of it and am looking forward for the next. Exercise isn't about getting slim and all that but it's all about being healthy and happy with yourself and what you do! :)

Happy exercising! :)

Workplace or Blissful Place?

Confucius once said that, "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life." It really is! But nothings beats a job with dear friends around you.

I am currently working as Nurse 1 (RN Heals) at East Avenue Medical Center. Being a nurse is not an easy profession. It requires a lot of knowledge, skills, hard work, compassion, strong will, emotional stability and most of all, patience. Our job is not as simple as it seems to be, especially when you’re assigned in a male medical ward. The word “Toxic”, meaning “busy” will never be absent in this area.

In spite of the demanding activities of this ward, my co-workers and I can still smile and laugh about the chaotic events of our duty. Is it because we love our job? Nah! I think it’s not just that, it’s because we certainly enjoy our job and at the same time it’s not about calling each other “CO-WORKERS” but because we treat each other as “FRIENDS”.

I love my work. I really do! But sometimes, I also feel exhaustion from a busy day at work. But with these people around, every moment is priceless… :)))

At our Christmas party last year

All smiles after a toxic day :)))

About to go home... Seen the smiles on their faces?

We also have our clean up drives. And take note, we do it ourselves. :)

 Nurses cleaning the bedside tables.

See? We are cleaning the beds as well.

cleaning a side rail of our hospital bed

Another senior nurse and two regular staff nurses also cleaning the beds

and drying the washed still charts.
This is done monthly to make sure that our hospital will be "Malinis at mabango"

Even though we had hectic schedules, we make sure that we are also having fun.

We went out to eat fishballs, kikiam and the like at U.P.

These pictures are a solid proof that despite the toxicity we have, we still remain in high spirits and united like a family. We work harmoniously and we are enjoying what we do. Whether it'll be benign or toxic, 5-North will still remain the same. Full of delightful memories and BLISS :)))
